CIMETIERE DU PÈRE LACHAISE Le Cimetière du Père-Lachaise est sans doute le cimetière le plus connu de Paris, voire même du monde. Et on comprend pourquoi en le visitant. Bien que Paris regorge de cimetières attrayants (Montparnasse, Montmartre, Batignolles), celui-ci est le plus surprenant, et le plus beau, par bien des aspects. Tout d’abord évidemment parce qu’il accueille une quantité formidable de célébrités du monde entier. Mais aussi parce qu’au cours de votre promenade dans ses ruelles pavées, vous découvrirez un grand nombre d’espèces végétales, chose que l’on ne s’attend pas forcément à retrouver ici. Cerisiers, érables, marronniers, saules pleureurs, noyers… Le cimetière du Père-Lachaise compte à peu près 5000 arbres représentants environ 50 espèces différentes réparties sur une superficie de 44 hectares. Ce qui fait du lieu le plus grand espace vert de Paris ! À ne pas louper lors de votre visite : La tombe d’Allan Kardec, fondateur du spiritisme, dont la tombe, la plus fleurie du cimetière, est un dolmen breton. The neighboring tombs of Molière and Jean de la Fontaine, who died in the 17th century and were transferred here to make the cemetery more attractive. The tomb of Victor Noir, a journalist killed by Napoleon III's cousin and a symbol of the "recumbent" funeral style. The tombs of Jim Morison and Oscar Wilde, although these are now protected by fences due to repeated damage. The superb tombs of Théodore Guéricault and Frédéric Chopin. RUE DENOYER Just a few meters from Belleville metro station, Rue Dénoyez links Chinese Belleville with Jewish Belleville. This cobbled thoroughfare is best known as a hotspot for urban culture. Behind its walls, covered in graffiti of all kinds, are numerous artists' studios and exhibition spaces where you can admire some of the capital's best street art. PARC DE BELLEVILLE This undulating green space offers one of the best views in the capital. Looking south, you'll find yourself facing the ocean of Parisian rooftops. A breathtaking view!
