THE PLACE SAINT GEORGES The square, which has retained its original shape for carriages and horse-drawn carriages, used to have a fountain at its centre to give the horses something to drink. It was replaced by a bust of Paul Gavarni, the famous caricaturist, and a bas-relief depicting the Paris Carnival, making it the only Parisian monument to feature this theme. The Hôtel de la Marquise de Païva, an astonishing private mansion, stands nearby. THE CHURCH OF NOTRE DAME DE LAURETTE With its richly decorated ceiling and murals painted directly onto the walls, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette is the most colourful church in Paris. The gleaming interior stands in stark contrast to the austere neoclassical exterior. When it was built in 1836, the church was considered very modern. It was one of the first religious buildings to use gas lighting. The church also gave its name to some of the residents of the neighbouring streets. A place of pleasure and the arts, the district was frequented by a wealthy clientele. Women of loose morals would infiltrate aristocratic and intellectual circles to seduce the right people. They were known as the "Lorettes".

My apartment has everything you need for a pleasant stay: a fully-equipped kitchen, a bright living room with 1 sofa bed and 1 bathroom.
