Beaugrenelle Located a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower, on the banks of the Seine and facing the Statue of Liberty, Beaugrenelle Paris offers the best of Paris in a chic and zen setting. EIFFEL TOWER The Eiffel Tower stands on the banks of the Seine in Paris, a magnificent iron structure that illuminates Paris and, more generally, France. If one single French architectural element were to represent the country, it would undoubtedly be the Eiffel Tower, well ahead of other equally prestigious but less emblematic monuments: the Louvre, the Pont du Gard, the Gothic cathedrals or the châteaux of the Loire. Even renowned sites such as the Arc de Triomphe do not manage to symbolise France in the same way as the Eiffel Tower, which shows how important it is for the international reputation of this country. CHAMPS DE MARS With its surface area of almost 25 hectares, the Champ-de-Mars is one of the largest green spaces in the capital; it extends from the Trocadero esplanade to the Ecole Militaire. This vast public garden is certainly a very busy place throughout the year, but what makes it a must-see is obviously the Eiffel Tower: you can discover its "underside" when you walk around the Champ-de-Mars. It is one of the few places in Paris that brings together tourists and Parisians alike: the more patient can visit the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a meal on the first floor of the Tower, at 58 Tour Eiffel, to admire the view and the French gastronomy. The most impatient will head for the Bateaux Parisiens which leave from the quays at the entrance to the Champ-de-Mars and offer an exceptional tour of the capital. Parisian families, for their part, take advantage of the green spaces to play sports, share a picnic during the summer, or simply to introduce their children to new activities: merry-go-rounds, pony rides, and even the Guignol theatre. In the evening, the Champ-de-Mars regularly opens up to concerts. In short, a convivial space, best discovered at the end of the summer, when the weather is still good and the lawns are no longer crowded. INVALIDS To reach the westernmost part of the rue de Grenelle, you have to go through the Place des Invalides. You will discover the rigorously symmetrical layout of the northern façade of the Hôtel des Invalides and catch a glimpse of the imposing dome of its royal chapel. It may also be an opportunity to visit the Musée de l'Armée or the Musée des Plans-Reliefs. Despite the fame of the building in which they are located, these two museums are not very well known. However, they are among the most interesting places in the capital to discover and learn more about French history! ALMA BRIDGE The Alma bridge is the first bridge with three arches built during the great works of Baron Haussmann in 1894 and at the request of Napoleon III. Its name is known worldwide since the tragic accident of Princess Diana. The bridge connects the Place de l'Alma and its famous flame of the Statue of Liberty on the right bank and the Quai Branly Museum and the Paris Sewers Museum on the left bank. It is here that one finds the zouave, a real altimeter for the floods.
