MUSÉE D'ORSAY : Known throughout the world for its rich collection of impressionist art, the Musée d'Orsay is also the museum of all the artistic creation of the Western world from 1848 to 1914. Its collections represent all forms of expression, from painting to architecture, including sculpture, decorative arts and photography. You will not fail to be dazzled by the beauty of the place: a station with the appearance of a palace inaugurated for the 1900 World Fair. At the end of 2011, the museum reopened all its spaces, entirely renovated, and with new rooms: 400 m² additional for the upstream pavilion, the artists of post-impressionism in the heart of the museum, the restructuring of the impressionist gallery, a new temporary exhibition space without forgetting the new "aquatic" decoration of the café des hauteurs entrusted to two Brazilian designers, the Campana brothers. LA GRANDE ÉPICERIE DE PARIS : On both the Left and Right Banks, the departments of La Grande Epicerie de Paris feature a vast selection of flavors from here and abroad: groceries (tea, coffee, oil, pasta, jam, etc.), fresh products (cheese, charcuterie, fish, butcher's, etc.), exceptional products (wine, cheese, cheese, etc.), and a wide range of other products. ), exceptional references (caviar, foie gras or truffles), cellar (wines and spirits from around the world), not forgetting the pastry shop, the bakery and the caterer whose creations are made every day by a hundred or so passionate craftsmen in the laboratories under the store on rue de Sèvres. To satisfy all gourmets, La Grande Épicerie de Paris places great importance on the selection of its products. HOTÊL DE MATIGNON : If the Hôtel de Matignon is not really a hotel per se, it is one of the main monuments of the French government. It is indeed in this building of the 7th district that the Prime Minister of France lives and works. It was between 1722 and 1724 that Christian-Louis de Montmorency-Luxembourg had the Hôtel de Matignon built. But this prince of France never lived in this house: the work was more expensive than expected, he sold Matignon during completion. Over the centuries, this mansion has belonged to different families such as the Princes of Monaco, Napoleon I, the Count of Paris... Seat of the Austrian Embassy at the beginning of the 20th century, this property was confiscated during the First World War and then purchased by the State in 1922 before being classified as a historical monument in 1923. Gaston Doumergue decided to install the President of the Council of Ministers in the 1930s, after evaluating the possibility of transforming the building into a museum or housing. Behind this beautiful baroque-style residence with its richly furnished interior, there is a large garden of three hectares: the largest private green space in Paris. The tradition is that each Prime Minister plants a tree there when he takes office. The Hôtel de Matignon is not visited on a daily basis, but it remains accessible to the public during the annual Heritage Days, which traditionally take place in September. BON MARCHÉ: It is in the south of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district that this institution of Parisian shopping and fashion rises. The brands offered by the store are mostly high-end brands like Kenzo, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs and many others.
