PAVILLON DES INDES Located in the park of Bécon, the Pavillon des Indes is a building listed in the Inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques. Formerly the property of Prince George Stirbey, it is endowed with a singular architecture, this building steeped in history was restored in 2013. Resplendent with its original splendor, the Pavillon des Indes can now offer a permanent exhibition as well as accommodation for an artist in residence. ROYBET FOULD MUSEUM Created in 1927, the museum is in fact the former pavilion that Sweden and Norway built in Paris for the 1878 World Fair. This red pine wood construction evokes traditional Scandinavian architecture and bears witness to the first prefabricated buildings. Nestled in the heart of the Parc de Bécon, the pavilion's façade runs parallel to the Seine and the Ile de la Jatte. This highly original building is made up of two cottages, the one on the left corresponds to Sweden (a high construction crowned by a very sharp gable), and the one on the right to Norway (a more massive, single-story building). The two parts are connected by a gallery that originally symbolized the alliance of the two countries. Owner with her sister Georges Achille-Fould Stirbey of the magnificent park of Bécon, Consuelo Fould bequeathed her pavilion to the City of Courbevoie but with the responsibility for this community to open a museum dedicated to the memory of her master, the painter Ferdinand Roybet (1840-1920). PARK OF THE CROWNS BECON Benefiting from several accesses from the boulevard Saint-Denis, the streets Alphand and Armand Silvestre and the avenue Léon Bourgain, this large park is embellished with several trees remarkable for their dimensions or for their species. Among these, we should mention a fastigiated oak, a Colorado spruce, a weeping beech, a plane tree and a Colorado fir. Several of them are easily recognizable thanks to elegant identification plaques in enamelled lava.
